Round 3 saw the Skip Barber eRace Series roll in to Brands Hatch, U.K. after a glitch was found with the Daytona road course previously selected to hold the event. This week brought a lot of close racing as the track was very short & technical and saw drivers racing wheel to wheel for a majority of the laps.
Race one ended before it hardly began. Hunter started in P20 yet again to go for the hard charger award. After making up several positions in the first corner, Hunter made a move to the inside of turn 2 and was slammed by his competitor into the wall. Hunter received lots of damage to his formula 4 car but slowly worked his way up the field passing lots of fast cars with no damage. He ended up finishing in P10 and earned this week’s hard charger award.
Race 2 saw Hunter starting from the P10 position. When the lights went green, Hunter again made his way up the field all the way into P4 after the opening few laps. While battling for the lead, the P2 car spun entering turn 3 and came back across the track, collecting Hunter and around five other cars. Hunter again with damage continued the race and would complete the race where he started, P10.
With this being the last race available for Hunter’s schedule, he was invited to go to a 3-day Formula 4 car school curtesy of the Skip Barber Racing School. Stay tuned for the video!
Thanks again to Skip Barber for hosting this series and we look forward to another one in the future!
